Fried Rye Bread, Carrot Salad and Salami Appetizer
One of my favorite appetizers! These fried bread sandwiches are addictive, and when you taste them, then you’ll understand why I say so. It is very convenient to prepare such sandwiches in advance for festive table, party or simply for the movie night. The appetizer can be kept in the fridge for up to 4-5 days (even after that, sandwiches remain delicious!). If you are too lazy to make small sandwiches, you can fry at once half a slice of bread. By the way, such sandwiches simply disappear on picnics in nature. Sandwiches will taste great with any of your favorite cold-smoked hard salami, so not necessarily beef salami.

    • 2 medium sized carrots

    • 1/3 tsp. garlic powder
    • oil (for frying)
    • salt, black pepper

  4. 3. Then transfer on a paper towel. In this way fry all bread squares. Leave to cool.
  5. 4. Peel garlic clove and rub the bread squares well with it. Then sprinkle bread with a little bit of salt.
  6. 5. Slice salami into thin, small pieces.
  7. 6. Peel carrots, grate them using a fine grater, season with garlic powder, salt, black pepper and mix with mayonnaise.
  8. 7. Spread a small teaspoon of carrot salad on each bread square, add salami and serve. Decorate as you like (I used parsley). Enjoy!
