Cooked chicken legs in sauce
Chicken feet are more commonly found on the shelves of pet shops than on our plates, even though they are a particularly important source of calogen. Calogen is essential for the formation of connective tissues in the human musculoskeletal system. It also maintains the elasticity of the skin, preventing the appearance of wrinkles. So it's definitely worth eating them!

What do they taste like? If you like pig's feet, you'll love chicken feet. They are particularly loved and eaten by people in Asian countries. If possible, I recommend that you choose the legs of domestic hens, as they are bigger and even tastier.

Ingredients

    • chicken legs: 1 kilo
    • garlic: 5 cloves (crushed)
    • dried oregano: 1 teaspoon
    • salt: 1 teaspoon
    • sweet paprika powder: 1 teaspoon
    • sweet paprika powder: 0,5 teaspoon
    • onion powder: 0.5 teaspoon
    • Ground coriander kernels: 0.5 teaspoon
    • Cumin: 1 teaspoon
    • Celery stalks: 2
    • carrots: 2
    • water: 3 glasses
    • tomato paste: 1 tbsp
    • chopped parsley: 2 tbsp

    Recipe Directions

  1. 1. First, wash the legs of the hens, peel off any remaining skin, if any, and clip the nails. Do not clip the nails as you would for yourself, but through the joint closest to the nail.
  2. 2. Make a mixture of garlic, oregano, salt, sweet and smoked paprika, onion powder, coriander and cumin and rub it on the legs of the hens.

  4. 3. Put the legs of the hens in the fridge to marinate overnight.
  5. 4. Then heat the oil in a saucepan or frying pan with the higher edges, add the marinated legs and fry, stirring, until the legs are lightly browned.
  6. 5. Add the diced carrots, celery stalks and tomato paste, pour in the water, cover with a lid and simmer for about 60 minutes.
  7. 6. After an hour, remove the lid and cook, stirring constantly, until the liquid has evaporated and the sauce is thick.
  8. 7. Taste for salt. Just before serving, stir in the chopped parsley. Enjoy!
