You know that feeling when you are eating your own home-made dish and it feels like you're in a restaurant. That is the feeling when I first time tasted this wonderful tomato soup. I couldn't believe that only a few simple ingredients could make such a delicious soup. Immediately, I share the recipe with you my dear blog followers 🙂
Anyways, there is not a very big selection of soups in restaurants in the USA, but if tomato soup is on the menu, it is one of my favorite choices. Making this soup is actually as simple as two times two. Canned tomatoes, onions, garlic, broth and a little bit of spices. Simply boil it and it's ready to eat! If you live in Lithuania I would recommend using canned tomatoes that are not very acidic, otherwise your soup will be quite sour or you will need to add more sugar. Of course, you can also use fresh tomatoes, only then I would suggest roasting them in an oven until soft. In the USA, canned tomatoes are very low in acidity, so one tablespoon of sugar is enough to balance the taste. By the way, about 4-5 bowls of soup come out of the listed ingredients. If your family is larger - double the portion. Bon appetit! 😉
